Chess with steel balls in Greenhead Park
9 men played against 11 women in the Grail Trophy competition. For the 2nd year running the men have ran out winners with a score of 8 games to 4. There were some closely fought games
It wasn’t a day for hanging around for photos and maybe next year photos of the teams can be taken before the competition begins
After a hard fought afternoon with 2 games taking close to 90 minutes there were 5 Players who won all 3 games. Nell ran out overall winner with the greater points difference. Congratulations Nell.
The annual HPC Singles Championship took place in very pleasant conditions – not too warm and no rain. 27 members took part

We had 2 spare lanes for 3 non members to borrow boules and have a game – possible members for the future.
