21 people braved the heat for the Picnic. We had a good afternoon and raised £53 for our charity.

A squad of 7 played in this tournament. It was the same format as last year when we came 3rd. A pairs, a mixed pairs and a mixed triple. Our squad this year was Brendan & Roy, Robin and Rita, Mike, Moira & Paul. There were 8 clubs represented.

Roy and Brendan made it to the Gold final knockout winning all their 3 morning games but they went out at the semifinal stage; Robin & Rita made the Gold final but also lost in the semis. Mike, Moira & Paul made it to the Silver Final where they lost in the final.

Overall Stockton Fox won the best club prize with Harrogate second. We came joint 4th with Wetherby just one point away from the Top 3. The event will run next summer as well.

What a night!! Great petanque, great company. 14 turned up and Jan P organised the melee. Others helped set the terrain up. Good team effort. Results are 4th Jackie, 3rd Marie, 2nd Reg and 1st Graham! (had great partners).
