Tomorrows Mixed Pairs Open event is cancelled. Of our 10 lanes only 3 are without lying water and forecast is for more rain particularly tomorrow morning. So unfortunately we have no choice. I doubt if it can be rearranged as autumn weather isn’t likely to improve.

First winter melee

…and although there was free food, a presentation and a monster raffle most people were happy to get out of the wind and head for home. Before that Brendan and Yvonne were the only two players to win 3 games. Brendan had the better points difference so is the winner. Linda and Denise (both recently joined) did very well in their first melee. Next Melees are on November 3rd and December 2nd. In the new year they move to the second Sunday.

Presentation, Free buffet, Raffle and a 3 round melee

Lots happening on Sunday 7th October. The winner of the Summer melee league will receive his trophy; there will be sandwiches, quiches, cakes etc available all afternoon for grazing between games. There will be a raffle and the first members melee of the winter competition.

Turn up early and grab the best sandwiches; Melee starts at 1300.

3 cakes, 24 light bites and 16 samosas

Last week was Macmillan Coffee Morning. We held our event at lunchtime before our regular club session and as you see in the title threw in a few non cake items.

Thanks for this occasion go to the members and friends who baked and brought buns and treats to the party and especially those people who donated money and ate the food.
The Club is pleased to say that the sum of £60.00 was raised on the day and this has now been forwarded to The Macmillan charity.
