Twenty pairs from Yorkshire, Lancashire and beyond enjoyed a largely dry day’s play in the Yorkshire winter league. Shirley came 3rd, partnering Richard from Leeds. Nell and Vero came 7th. Six other HPC pairs competed, and a good time was generally had by all. To put the icing on the cake, we raised about £70 for the Sleeper Fund.

Nice to see a strong representation from Ingbirchworth (and Marseille)

HPC did us proud today, helped by the rain staying away until the closing moments. Thanks to all the members who raked and baked, stringed, made tea, flogged raffle tickets, kept scores, and those who came along to savour the tournament ambience. Thanks to the players some of whom travelled a long way to play. Great day.
