A good day for HPC at Heckmondwike last Sunday. 10 club members played in a regional event and Margaret & Pete won 4.5 of their 5 games and were only beaten to the top spot by 2 points. This is still the best result for some time by a HPC pair. Brendan and Vero also put in a great performance.
Regional events are longer than club sessions (5 games instead of 3) and there are a few county level players and the occasional England international but it’s a great experience and your game improves by playing better players. Next one at Huddersfield is 26th July. Talk to those who play at regional events and think about having a go…
