Easter Egg Melee

A lovely sunny day saw our traditional melee for Easter. When it came to prize giving it was easy but needed to be rapid as it was approaching 25 degrees and chocolate has a melting point of only 30 in a pan and much lower on a piste.

Only 3 players had won all 3 games and Barrie took 3rd, Sandra Beech was 2nd and David 1st by just one point. Everyone who played an a few onlookers took home a Cadbury’s creme egg. Same again next Easter.

Main event winners ‘Rank Outsiders’  – Neill Rank & Matt Blyton

Runners up ‘Westleybobs’ – Clive & Kath Westley
Plate winners ‘Le Dragon IV’ – Richard Burrow & Charles Stewart
Runners up ‘M & M’ – Madge Jordan & Malcolm Oates
Consolage – ‘Twin Peaks’ – Christine Appleyard & Kevin Hepworth and ‘Hail & Hartley’ – Brendan Callaghan & Richard Hartley – tied for first place.
Roy Henstock playing with John Chambers from North Stainley came 2nd in their first round league and made it into the Main event.
Other HPC members playing were the ‘Heckythumpers’ – Jane and Roger Farrar who made 4th spot in the main event and ‘Rock  ‘n’ Roll’ – Robin & Rita Schofield took 3rd place in the Consolage
