Chess with steel balls in Greenhead Park
Thursday 21st july at 6pm alongside the normal session we’ll be holding an information session for players who will be in the Kirklees autumn league starting September.
There will be brief talks and practice games showing the system and style for league matches. All welcome.

Bastille day event and Club Triples results delayed due to lack of pictures
Huddersfield Petanque club is now on Twitter. Anyone can follow us and if they do will receive our tweets. It’s a new venture with many challenges as we work out what we can do and what is the best thing to do. Please pass on the address which is @Hudd_Petanque and have a look when you have time. Members are recommended to check their scores and positions. It’s not an automated system (unfortunately) and errors may creep in.
Play with your grandchild, grand niece, grand nephew in a 3 round pairs competition. The date is Sunday 31st July starting at 1300. It’s open to all but the Grandperson involved should have some idea of how to play. We can supply boules.
£2 Entry fee per team, Trophy to winners to keep for a year, every junior receives a medal and a bag of sweets.
The rules are that pairs must have a grand relationship not just a son/daughter relationship. Children must be under 16. Grandpeople should be around 60.
